Local Lib Dem candidate Stephen Robinson joined other candidates last Saturday addressing a large crowd in the town centre. Said Stephen, "I was delighted to do this and hope to do so again in future."

Commented the Essex Chronicle, who organised the event, "Over the course of the morning the candidates spoke on all the issues which will be key to the upcoming General Election on May 6, including immigration, the economy, crime and reigning in the banks.

The event was even broadcast on BBC Look East on Monday night and has been the talk of local radio too."
