Chelmsford's newly elected Lib Dem Councillors celebrate their success

40 Liberal Democrats were elected to Chelmsford Borough Council and Great Baddow and Writtle Parish Councils on 3rd May. Most of those councillors plus their helpers came together to mark their election success at a post-election celebration. The Liberal Democrats were the ONLY party to have more seats in Chelmsford after the 3rd May elections than before.

Across the new Chelmsford constituency, the Liberal Democrats won more votes than the Conservatives and 24 seats to their 10, and Labour's none. So it is clear that the Liberal Democrats will be providing the only serious challenge to the Conservatives at the General Election - whenever our new Prime Minister decides to call it!
